The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is the largest university in Greece. The main campus is located in the center of the city of Thessaloniki and covers an area of about 33.4 hectares. It comprises 10 faculties which consist of 40 schools and 1 single-school Faculty. Some educational and administrative facilities are located off campus for practical and operational reasons. A number of these facilities are located outside the city of Thessaloniki or even in other cities. The School of Medicine is one of the four Schools of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. It was founded as Medical Faculty of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1942, during the German occupation of Greece. Its establishment took place 17 years after the foundation of Aristotle University. The main goal of the School of Medicine of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Aristotle University is to educate the medical students as well as to provide Greece health professionals with the highest scientific standards.

AUTH University Hospital specializes in trauma care and offers medical services to citizens in the
region of Thessaloniki. Within the ESCORT project, AUTH University Hospital can provide specialized
clinical knowledge and experience in emergency medicine and healthcare services. Additionally, it
brings extensive research expertise in various medical topics and fosters valuable collaborations to
enhance the consortium's capabilities. AUTH will promote cooperation with medical institutions and
healthcare units that belong to the same health district, in order to develop and upgrade overall
healthcare provision services for citizens.

Finally, AUTH is coordinating the ESCORT project with support from RINI, offering scientific and
technical coordination. It is leading the effort on organizational review of operational readiness for
emergency medicine and health care services in collaboration with the rest of the clinical partners.
Finally, our aim is the adoption of digital transformation strategies for regular health and care
access, as well as the support for organizing pilot activities.
