To give some insight into the work carried out by UCSC within the ongoing ESCORT project, this post highlights their role and contributions across several key work packages.
Within the project, UCSC leads Work Package 3 (WP3), coordinating and guiding activities related to requirements analysis and operational contextualization. The team develops and structures the User Requirement Questionnaire, defines the analytical reporting methodology—including statistical rigor and thematic coding for open-ended responses—and ensures methodological quality prior to dissemination. UCSC also consolidates and submits the questionnaire results to the consortium, clarifies statistical outputs requested by partners, and safeguards correct attribution and data integrity in external abstracts.
In WP3, UCSC leads the preparation of deliverables D3.1 and D3.2, overseeing the analysis of user needs, operational scenarios, and evidence collected across tasks, while framing the methodological and clinical context for the project’s technical developments. In Work Package 6 (WP6), UCSC contributes to deliverable D6.3 and drafts the Policy Brief concept on hospital surge modelling, aligning it with project deliverables and the project’s evidence-based framework.
Overall, UCSC’s contribution focuses on leadership in WP3, methodological robustness, analytical clarity, and strategic positioning within the project.
